Description

THE BEST FITNESS APP IS NOW AVAILABLE FOR YOUR iPHONE AND iPOD TOUCH, FEATURING LIVE GPS RECORDING, LIVE WORKOUT RECORDING AND SYNCHRONIZATION WITH WINDOWS.

AND LESS THAN A MONTH AFTER ITS RELEASE, IT IS FEATURED IN iTUNES' WHAT HOT SECTION.

We developed MySportTraining for mobile devices 10 years ago, and we added features athletes, sports-oriented people and health-conscious people have asked us over the years. As a result, there is simply no other application that provides so many features to track cardio and strength training workouts.

A detailed user manual that explains all the features is available from vidaone.com/imst.htm.

- Live Workout Recording to automatically guide you through your workouts. It shows you what exercise (or intervals) to do and when to rest and for how long. This eliminates any guesswork and is the most efficient method to obtain maximum results in minimal time. It's like having a coach standing next to you!

- Live GPS recording for your outdoor cardio workouts. See your current coordinates, heading, duration, distance, average speed, current speed, current altitude, battery life and route on Google Maps.

- Multiple views to show your daily and monthly workouts, and more than 15 charts (over any period of time) to provide valuable feedback.

- Enter all the information you need for your cardio and strength training workouts, including exercises (sets, reps, weights, % of max, rest time including supersets, RPE, note), course (route, distance, pace, ascent, weather, temperature, wind, humidity), laps (lap time, average HR, note) intervals (type, sets, duration, recovery). Use custom fields (*) to track additional data if needed. You can enter any number of workouts per day.

- Track gears (such as running shoes, tires, etc.) whose usage (distance or duration) is automatically calculated.

- Email or share workouts on Twitter and Facebook.

- Enter key information about health, multiple times per day if needed, including vital signs, sleep, body measurements, etc. To track you diet, make sure to take a look at MyPersonalDiet (vidaone.com/impd.htm).

- Personalize it: create your own workouts, routines, exercises, intervals, courses, locations, gears; select your units (American/Metric, calories/kj) and one of the colorful themes (including Classic).

- Multiple fitness tools are available: activity filter, personal best, workout gears summary, training zones.

- Full synchronization with VidaOne Diet & Fitness (*) for Windows 7/Vista/XP including emulation on Mac OS X.

(*) Requires VidaOne Diet & Fitness for Windows (sold separately at www.vidaone.com).

ABOUT THE SYNCHRONIZATION

MySportTraining is a standalone application. The synchronization is an additional feature that reconciles data on both your iPhone and your PC to let you use VidaOne Diet & Fitness on your PC to track, analyze and review your data, something that cannot be achieved via iTunes backups.

The synchronization reconciles data on both your iPhone and your PC by merging record changes. This is also how iTunes synchronizes appointments and contacts with Microsoft Outlook. This approach is far more powerful than file synchronization where one set of changes overwrite the others, leading to data loss in synchronization.

There are however limitations inherent to the iPhone design that change the way 3rd-party synchronization operates:

- The synchronization with VidaOne Diet & Fitness can only be achieved via Wi-Fi (not via USB cables).

- Data cannot be shared among 3rd-party applications, so if you are using other VidaOne apps on your iPhone, each must be synchronized with VidaOne Diet & Fitness.

Although these limitations make the synchronization different than on Windows Mobile or Palm OS, it nonetheless reconciles the data as expected.

The synchronization does not affect the normal backup operations done by iTunes.

Crashes frequently

:
I mirror the other poster. Previous versions were great, but this keeps crashing on me at the gym. I don't know if it's a problem with the apple update, but this version is unstable. Two stars because the app worked great when it worked, but this is a one star version.

Won't sync and crashes

:
Very buggy app. Crashes often when updating exercises at the gym. When you open the app back up you'll discover nothing is saved. Now for some reason I cannot get it to sync with my diet & fitness program on my Mac. Makes the program almost worthless.

5/5 stars

Even better than my Palm OS version!

:
I'm a long-time user of this software on the Palm OS (more than three years) and couldn't wait to get my hands on the iPod version. This new version is head and shoulders above the Palm OS version. I can track activities, heart rate, calories, and even mileage on my various running shoes. I haven't had any sync issues at all. Highly recommended!
